Dr Sharon Marinucci

Practice Principal – BDS / BSci Dent (Hons)

Sharon graduated from Adelaide University with first class Honours in 1996. She travelled around for a while, spending time in Darwin, Brisbane and Brunei before moving into the Coffs Harbour area early 1998.

With a very young family and a small recruiting business that specialised in the placement of dentist’s Dr Marinucci declined to take long term work but helped out a variety of dental practices and institutions in the Coffs and Grafton area. In 2004 she established the original Fresh Dental Care practice in the smallest rooms she could find in Urunga. The practice grew and other Fresh practices were established prior to their sale in 2011. She negotiated purchasing back the Urunga dental practice, now Welcome Dental in 2020.

Dr. Marinucci has a passion for working holistically, considering all aspects which contribute to optimum dental health. While a large part of her time is spent on orthodontics, she also enjoys cosmetic dentistry and working with phobic patients and helping them overcome their dental anxieties. She is certified to use nitrous oxide and Penthrox sedation.

Outside of dentistry, Sharon spends most of her time with her family within the local community in their home surrounded by bush with lots of dogs and chickens.  She tries to support the arts and children selling their home-made wares at market stalls, enjoys swimming and surfing badly and is trained as a snake catcher which she finds very useful as snakes are always after the chickens.
